Imprisoned souls

The transgender hijra community, often known as 'wedding dancers', or third gender, has suffered decades of discrimination and harassment in Pakistan.

Souls of princess trapped in bodies of man. They are one of the most marginalized groups in Pakistan: not only ostracized by the society, but also abandoned by their own parents at young age; forced into begging and prostitution, living in isolated groups in slums…Few employment opportunities are available to them

Nevertheless, the Pakistani Supreme Court has tried to improve their condition and now hijra community must be registered as part of a government survey to integrate them into the society.
